Volleyball Team Beats Johns Hopkins 3-0 at NYU Invitational

Mary Schaefer had a team-best 23 digs against Johns Hopkins.

New York -- The volleyball team won its first match at the NYU Invitational 3-0 (30-28, 30-24, 30-17) over Johns Hopkins to Improve to 9-6 on the season. Freshman setter Corinna Doctor (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) registered 28 assists and 18 digs in the Bombers win.

Juniors Katie Hause (St. Mary's/Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Andria Mynders (Minisink Valley/Port Jervis) each recorded a team-high eight kills with 20 and seven digs, respectively. Classmate Mary Schaefer (Eden/Eden) had a team-best 23 digs and Amanda Hubbard (Horseheads/Horseheads) registered seven kills and 16 digs. 

Ithaca will next take on Elmira Friday at 6 p.m.
